Overview

Nursing Care Assistant. Dynamic, professional and caring staff needed to work in a busy, family run nursing home in the Aberystwyth area, 2.5 days per week including every other weekend.

Plas Cwmcynfelin is located about 2.5 miles from Aberystwyth. Set in expansive, well maintained gardens and enjoying panoramic views over Cardigan Bay and Clarach valley, this adapted Georgian mansion and its adjoining Coach House make the perfect setting to deliver excellent care to our customers.

If you are motivated, able to work under pressure and dedicated to delivering a high standard of care to older people, then you might be who we are looking for.

Responsibilities

A vacancy has arisen for a Nursing Care Assistant at Plas Cwmcynfelin care home, Clarach to work day shifts. Duties involve supporting older people with activities of daily living, including assistance with medical, personal and social care. Our client base have complex needs up to and including requiring end of life care. This role therefore requires applicants with excellent interpersonal skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate information both orally and through accurate documentation.

Qualifications and development

Experience is essential. You will have full induction training, and after successful completion of your probationary period (12 weeks), you will have the opportunity to study for a diploma in Health and Social Care (up to level 3). The ability to converse in Welsh is desirable.

Hours and benefits

Duty hours and shifts will be discussed at interview. Due to the nature of the job, you will be required to work some bank holidays and weekends.
