About the role

You will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care and will work flexibly supporting the team to deliver high quality integrated care. You will become an expert clinician in wound care, palliative care, continence care and the care of patients with long‑term conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, promote and evaluate safe, creative and effective treatment plans in collaboration with the patient’s diverse needs, carers and other professionals
  • Deliver evidence‑based interventions
  • Safely monitor, manage and administer medication
  • Work autonomously, building leadership skills and advanced clinical assessment skills
  • Build effective relationships with patients, carers, family and colleagues across the MDT
  • Develop exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • Analyse care and treatment provided, and develop sound clinical decision‑making
  • Deliver high‑quality care and develop knowledge in palliative care, leg ulcer management, acute and chronic wound care, bladder and bowel dysfunctions, and provide supportive care to carers and family members
  • Delegate and support junior staff, building leadership skills

Pay & Visa

This post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
