The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, forward‑thinking practice in Oxfordshire as part of a newly opening night service. This role offers the chance to work within a supportive, permanent team where clinicians are genuinely valued and encouraged to thrive.

The practice operates a 24‑hour service and provides excellent support for professional development, making this an ideal opportunity for Veterinary Surgeons currently working in Emergency and Critical Care, or those looking to transition into ECC. A strong emphasis is placed on work–life balance, team collaboration, and job satisfaction.

The Role
  • Night Veterinary Surgeon within a dedicated out‑of‑hours service
  • 7 nights on / 14 nights off rota providing excellent work–life balance
  • Managing emergency and critical care cases overnight
  • Working alongside a highly experienced team of Registered Veterinary Nurses
  • Regular scheduled breaks throughout shifts
  • Supported learning environment with opportunities to develop ECC skills
