National Property Manager

ScS is one of the UK’s leading sofa and flooring retailers, now part of the Poltronesofà Group, Europe’s largest sofa specialist. Following a major transformation and upcoming rebrand, they are entering an exciting growth phase with ambitious plans to expand their store portfolio and strengthen their market position.

About the role

Nigel Wright are leading the recruitment for a National Property Manager to take strategic ownership of SCS property portfolio and lead on new site acquisitions.

This is a pivotal role in shaping their retail footprint and ensuring the stores and facilities meet the highest of standards.

What we’re looking for
  • Manage existing sites, ensuring compliance with lease agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiate lease renewals, rent reviews, and relocations.
  • Act as primary contact for landlords and property-related matters.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules and service contracts for safety and compliance.
  • Identify and secure new retail locations aligned to growth strategy.
  • Lead acquisition process, including due diligence and fit-out coordination.
  • Manage property budgets and provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
Essential experience required :
  • Proven experience in property or estate management within retail, commercial, or multi-site environments.
  • Professional qualification (RICS) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of lease negotiations, property law, and retail tenancy regulations.
  • Experience in site selection and acquisition.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Resilient and adaptable to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Comfortable with national travel; ideally able to spend 2 days per week in Sunderland.
