Mobile Generator Engineer

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 Basic + Overtime (£40-45K+ OTE)

Holt Recruitment is proud to be representing our client, a market leader in the power engineering sector, in their search for a skilled Field Service Engineer (Generators) to join their team covering the North London area.

This role is perfect for a driven and experienced engineer who thrives on solving technical challenges, delivering exceptional customer service, and working independently in a dynamic field environment.

The Role
  • Diagnose and repair a range of diesel generators, including large 2MW in-situ units.
  • Perform routine maintenance and remedial work on a variety of generator systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, fuel, and control system issues.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to safety standards and company procedures during all repairs and inspections.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience servicing large diesel generators.
  • Skilled in both electrical and mechanical aspects of generator systems.
  • Competent in working independently to diagnose and resolve faults.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong customer awareness.
  • Full UK driving licence and proficiency with MS Office tools.
