Overview

Miller Time Pub Server Supervisor Full Time at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel. What will you be doing?
  • Ability to perform all dining room positions including server, expeditor/food runner, busser, and host and maintain a house bank. Must learn all menu items and the ability to understand the pairing of the beer with those menu items.
  • Supervise staff and dining room in manager’s absence and assist with on-going training to ensure standards are being met.
  • Interact positively with customers, promote Hotel Outlets and resolve problems to the satisfaction of involved parties.
  • Utilize POS system to accurately charge customers, track revenue reports and ensure timeliness of food and beverage service. Input and retrieve data and change computer procedures using complex series of keypunches to program system.
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics and self-image with yourself as well as subordinates.
  • Check and maintain proper setup and cleanliness of Hotel Outlets, front of the house, and heart of the house areas.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested, e.g., special Guest and/or General Manager requests.
What you will bring to the role?
  • Ability to read the English language, to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, and reservations.
  • To supervise staff in a professional manner to ensure guest satisfaction using Miller Time Pub Grill, Marriott and Marcus standards.
  • Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer and providing proactive solutions.
  • High school diploma required and at least 1-2 years prior supervisory experience.
  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to transport trays weighing up to 40 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift, as needed.
  • Must adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
  • Cash handling and self-banking position, requires ability to maintain funds, and accurately count back change.
