Overview

Are you a Registered Midwife? We have exciting opportunities within our Maternity Services for Band 6 Midwives at Queens Hospital Burton site. UHDB has one of the largest maternity services in the UK, providing maternity care across Derbyshire and into Staffordshire. We offer woman-centred, family-friendly care with models including midwife-led care, continuity of carer, and specialist obstetric care for more complex needs, as well as community midwifery services.

Responsibilities

As a registered midwife you will be responsible and accountable for ensuring women, babies and families receive safe, clinically effective, women-centred care across antenatal, labour and birth, and postnatal pathways. You will lead by example, develop others, offer midwifery advice, support and manage services, and work flexibly across the service within differing models of maternity care, including continuity of carer. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver care to women and babies with complex needs and provide midwifery leadership, being accountable for the women, babies, public and staff experience.

This will be in line with local, trust-wide and national policies, procedures, values and behaviours.
