We are partnering with a respected secondary school in Borehamwood, known for its commitment to academic excellence and personal development. With a strong focus on language learning and cultural appreciation, the school is now looking for an enthusiastic MFL Teacher to start immediately and join their dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to teach Spanish and French across KS3 and KS4 (with the potential for KS5 depending on experience). As an MFL teacher, you’ll help inspire students to achieve proficiency in two of the most widely spoken languages globally, fostering a passion for both language and culture.
As an MFL Teacher, you will teach Spanish and French across KS3 and KS4, with the possibility of teaching KS5 depending on your expertise and the school's needs. You will create engaging, interactive lessons designed to build students' skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while promoting international awareness and cultural understanding.
Design and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons in Spanish and French across KS3 and KS4, with potential for KS5
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, helping students achieve their full potential
Foster a love of languages and enhance cultural understanding through engaging, interactive lessons
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to support their development
Develop students speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills
Collaborate with the MFL department to develop a cohesive, dynamic curriculum and resources
Participate in extracurricular activities such as language clubs, school events, and cultural initiatives
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred, but not essential)
Proven experience teaching Spanish and French at the secondary level
Strong knowledge of the Spanish and French curricula and language teaching methodologies
A passion for languages and the ability to inspire students of varying abilities
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Experience differentiating instruction for students with different learning needs
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
