A regional ambulance service in Ringwood is seeking a self-motivated individual for a postal team role. Responsibilities include sorting and delivering medical correspondence from GPs and hospitals while maintaining compliance with driving regulations. We are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated individual to be part of our dynamic medical services postal team. We have a proven NHS background and are committed to providing excellent service to our customers for over 30 years.
The role involves sorting post received from the GPs and Hospitals into pigeonholes, bagging this up for the surgeries in the morning, and delivering the bags by MTS during the day. The afternoon is taken up with franking post from DHC sites to be collected by the MTS driving team. To maintain, sort and collate post and to operate the franking machine to a high standard without supervision.
To report for duty to commence duties as detailed and to escalate any problems to the Head of Dorset Post. To complete daily checks on the post room vehicle and ensure any defects are recorded and reported. To drive the post room vehicle when required by the Head of Dorset Post within the Dorset Health Care area. To ensure the office is kept clean and tidy on a daily basis and that journey records are maintained correctly and handed in as required. To undertake any other work as directed by the Head of Dorset Post as required. Maintain driving compliance with the Road Traffic regulations and promote equality and diversity.
