Overview

Mechanical Fitter with a mechanical bias, commutable from Lancaster, Kendal, Ulverston, Penrith, Morecambe. Up to £34,000 (37.5 hours) + Premium Overtime + Working Away Allowance + 25 days Holiday (Option to Buy and Sell) + Enhanced Pension + Life Insurance + Training Opportunities + Employee Discounts. Role location: field based and workshop based with travel across the UK and occasional international travel. The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position and actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.

Role responsibilities
  • Assemble and disassemble mechanical parts according to engineering drawings for new and refurbished industrial-scale machinery.
  • Prepare materials for customer orders and write technical reports.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Work on a mixture of field-based and workshop-based tasks.
  • Support specialist training provided as part of the role.
Requirements
  • Experience in an engineering fitter role with a mechanical bias.
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willing and able to travel UK-wide with occasional international travel.
