A leading water and wastewater company is looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Technician in Orpington. This role involves maintaining and repairing essential equipment while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The position offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per year, with additional earnings possible through standby payments and overtime. We are recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our Water Operations team at Orpington WTW.
You will work in a multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for scheduled, unscheduled and emergency maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment in compliance with company procedures to minimise plant downtime. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water by performing a range of front-line activities, including operation, testing, routine checks, maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure services are delivered to time, cost and quality standards. This will include planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support the operation of the plant.
Base Location: Orpington, Kent - BR6 0SQ.
Working Pattern: 38 hours Monday to Friday 7:30 AM – 3:36 PM. Plus standby rota payments and overtime opportunities can increase earning potential by up to a further £8,000–£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.
All PPE, Tools, Fuel Card and Van are Provided.
