Overview

We are working with a specialist engineering consultancy based in Chesterfield who are looking to bring a Mechanical Design Engineer into their growing design team. This is a great opportunity for someone with early career experience in design engineering to take the next step, with full training and support provided.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks
• Supporting the development of new designs and modification of existing products
• Working closely with senior engineers on live projects from concept through to completion
• Assisting in prototyping, testing and ensuring designs are fit for manufacture
• Liaising with production and project teams to resolve design challenges

Qualifications

• Degree, HND, or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• At least 1 year’s experience in a mechanical design role
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and confident with 3D modelling
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• A proactive approach with good problem-solving ability
