You will support the organisation’s communication activities through their website, social media channels, press releases, and newsletters, while also contributing to creative campaigns and tourism promotion projects. This is a dynamic role for someone with excellent communication skills, digital expertise, and a passion for Japan and travel.

Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • Work to achieve marketing and communication targets, both individually and as part of the London office team
  • Act as the first point of contact for enquiries from consumers, media, and partner channels
  • Source, create, and manage content across communication channels, including the website and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube)
  • Write informative and engaging press releases and news articles for the London office’s website and newsletters
  • Provide creative input in the creation and implementation of projects, campaigns, and social media strategies
  • Conduct research to support projects and monitor market news and trends
  • Monitor media coverage and assist in compiling monthly reports
  • Manage media databases and maintain accurate contact lists
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Marketing & Communications Manager, Directors, and Head Office
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Confidence using online tools and social media platforms

Preferred:

  • In-depth knowledge of Japan as a travel destination
  • Japanese language ability (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
  • Skills in HTML, Google Analytics, CMS, Photoshop, Salesforce
  • Proven digital skills, particularly in using social media to engage and grow audiences
  • Experience in relevant industries such as travel, media, or destination marketing
  • Understanding of market trends, particularly in the travel industry
