Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Basingstoke seeks a Manufacturing Operator II to support daily production operations. Responsibilities include following Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices, operating machinery, and ensuring product quality. Candidates should have secondary education, experience in manufacturing preferred, and basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel. This role involves working rotating shifts (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm) and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or laboratory environments is preferred.
  • Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must follow PPE rules like wearing safety boots and glasses.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily production by following SOPs and GMP.
  • Operate and monitor conveyor and packaging equipment.
  • Fill, weigh, label, seal, and pack products.

Job description

Location: Basingstoke

Shifts: Rotating 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm

Pay: £13.79 per hour

The Manufacturing Operator II supports daily production by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role involves working on a production line, completing paperwork, operating equipment, packaging products, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow all SOPs, safety rules, and quality standards
  • Set up materials and equipment based on work orders
  • Operate and monitor conveyor and packaging equipment
  • Fill, weigh, label, seal, and pack products
  • Inspect materials and products for qualityComplete production paperwork accurately
  • Perform line clearance (cleaning, reconciling materials)
  • Keep work areas clean and follow all GMP and ISO requirements
Requirements
  • Secondary education or equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing or laboratory environments (preferred)
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Able to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Comfortable standing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using hand tools
  • Must follow PPE rules (safety boots, safety glasses, no jewellery/makeup)

  • May require training on a different shift
  • Possibility of extension or conversion depending on business needs
