Maintain and contribute to robust Quality Control and Quality Management Systems (QMS / QPulse) in line with NHS Breast Screening Programme standards.

Supervise, support and mentor mammographers, assistant practitioners, radiology assistants and student radiographers.

Contribute to service improvement through audit, research, clinical governance activities and evidence‑based practice.

Manage risk, incidents and local complaints within your specialist area, escalating appropriately when required.

Communication and Patient Care

You will demonstrate highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, supporting women and patients who may be anxious, distressed or emotionally vulnerable. You will ensure informed consent is obtained, after‑care advice is given, and information is communicated sensitively, clearly and effectively to patients, relatives and colleagues.
