Job description
Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role involves hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, supporting both routine maintenance and facility improvement projects.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to internal quality policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform repairs and overhauls on plant equipment including vibratory tumblers, high energy disks/barrels, and abrasive blasters.
  • Conduct electrical diagnostics and apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Review technical manuals and plant usage records to recommend and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects and equipment installations.
  • Set up and run wiring, plumbing, and other utilities for new equipment as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related maintenance or technical role.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and equipment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical systems, and general facilities management.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical instructions.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI/ASME Y14.5).
  • Proficient in using inspection tools such as micrometers, indicators, height gauges, and profilometers.
  • Skilled in using common maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Self-directed with the ability to plan workflow and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for sustained periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
