Principal Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise maintenance tasks carried out by both internal personnel and contractors, ensuring safety procedures and job specifications are followed.
- Monitor and evaluate the maintenance team’s performance, ensuring work is prioritised, delegated effectively, and delivered to expected standards.
- Coordinate the planning, scheduling, and execution of routine and non-routine maintenance to meet service intervals and minimise equipment downtime. This includes oversight of third-party maintenance services.
- Collaborate with operations teams to resolve equipment faults promptly, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory maintenance role, preferably within the oil and gas or a similar high-risk industry.
- Holds a relevant technical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC/Foundation Degree) in electrical, instrumentation, or mechanical maintenance.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision and take responsibility for routine and non-routine maintenance activities.
- Demonstrable experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software.
- Knowledge of hydrocarbon processing operations and associated safety standards is desirable.
- Experience working in hazardous areas; certification such as CompEx would be advantageous.
