Maintenance Engineer | Days Dungannon £45k + on call Day Shift 6am - 2.30pm & 9.30am - 6pm

Vickerstock are working in partnership with European leading food company based in Dungannon to recruit a Maintenance Engineer.

Our client has an excellent reputation within the food sector and are about to embark on a new journey embracing innovative technology to drive their ambitious growth plan forward.

The main duty of this position is to ensure all machinery is kept to high standards and to minimise down time.

Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer
  • Perform electrical maintenance for production operations, ensuring prompt resolution of breakdowns and other issues to minimise downtime.
  • Utilise systems to log, record, and close all active maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Execute project work from installation to commissioning, ensuring changes are implemented as planned and adjusted when necessary.
  • Provide technical expertise to the engineering department, operational teams, and external contractors to identify and implement optimal solutions.
  • Participate in team meetings to enhance departmental performance, support continuous improvement, and promote sustainability initiatives.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations to ensure compliance with legislation and internal protocols.
  • Safely dismantle machinery, perform checks, and assist in resolving breakdowns.
  • Conduct weekly energy readings and report findings to management, highlighting any issues.
  • Carry out daily risk assessments on workstations, machinery, and the production floor, reporting maintenance needs in line with health and safety standards.
As a Maintenance Engineer, ideally you will have
  • A recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical
  • Experience of fault diagnosis on control systems diagnostics
