Overview

This is a refurbishment of a medical storage facility on site as part of a larger programme of works over the next 34 weeks, with the on-site duration of the next 10-212 weeks.

Responsibilities
  • Be on site to ensure sub-contractors are working to programme and quality, driving the teams to achieve the project on track and handed over with a quality finish.
  • Reporting to the project manager, manage the mechanical and electrical sub-contractors from technical queries to inspecting the quality of work and addressing issues.
  • Look after sub-contractors from initial induction through daily walk rounds, problem solving, and providing project updates in weekly progress meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Candidates from a building services degree, career path, or from a trades background; significant start-to-finish major project experience delivering services packages for main contractors on jobs in excess of £2 million in the past.
  • Ideally some commercial or laboratory or hospital experience; however, a strong handle on mechanical and electrical services installation for UK major projects is most important.
  • Previous work for either a main contractor or an M&E sub-contractor on similar-sized fast-track schemes.
Project Timing

The project is due to hit site in 1–2 weeks with a commissioning period planned.
