Overview

The LPM Reporting Analyst will be a strategic partner to lawyers and business services teams, delivering financial insights that drive profitability and improve matter management. This role blends financial analysis, legal operations, and project management.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
    • Build reports, models, and templates using Excel and legal project management tools.
    • Monitor budgets and fee structures across legal matters.
    • Analyse time entry data to ensure accurate workstream allocation.
  • Matter Management
    • Lead meetings with lawyers to discuss billing, timelines, and matter updates.
    • Maintain trackers and budget repositories for real-time oversight.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify inefficiencies and automate reporting workflows.
    • Collaborate across departments to enhance data quality and project execution.
  • Strategic Support
    • Develop expertise in transactional law and private equity fee structures.
    • Support forecasting, budgeting, and pricing strategy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Law firm experience preferred (especially in operations or analytics)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, visualisation)
  • Familiarity with legal financial systems and reporting tools
