Logistics and Asset Lead

Life on the team
Computacenter are looking for a Logistics and Asset Lead to join our onsite team based at one of our customer sites in Central London. The role will be responsible for managing the store element of service for our customer. The role may require occasional travel to Bromley and Camberley. Working hours 7.5hrs per day Mon - Fri excluding Bank Holidays, shift cover required.

What you’ll do

  • General Health & Safety of the store areas & build room, keeping areas tidy, risk free and optimising space to best meet the need of our service.
  • Managing day to day client products received for service delivery and dispatch to specified locations UK wide, adhering to Bank agreed processes, ensure safe delivery and integrity of bank products throughout CC custody.
  • Ensuring products received for service requests are checked in without delay, highlighted for collection and service action, securely stored and clearly identifiable while in stores.
  • Security and integrity of the stores & build area in terms of control of stock items under our custody and items/products for customer delivery.
  • Daily updates to Inventory records/CI Asset records with regards to stock items received, changes to the status of stock, location and deployment of tracked items following service teams daily updates.
  • Monthly stock takes to ensure Inventory records are correct and all items are accountable under our custody.
  • Provide product evaluation for decommissioned equipment to determine if fit for redeployment or End of Life recycling, ensuring Inventory records are updated.
  • Highlighting incomplete and faulty products returned by client to Service management for escalation with client.
  • Manage End of life devices and 3RD Party collection requests from client sites, ensuring client data integrity process is strictly adhered to, devices accurately recorded, accountable and secure while in our custody prior to handover to 3rd party vendor for disposal.
  • Provide daily summary of stock items for client to use, ensuring this summary is correct and in line with Inventory records, highlighting stock items running low for action by the client and to ensure we have products and items to meet service requests.
  • Daily monitoring of stock check queue for requests to assign stock items to match the criteria required for the service requests ensuring SLA is met.
  • Manage end to end the secure dispatch of items to other client sites, parts returns and device product vendor repair locations to ensure tracking is obtained, proof of delivery received and associated updates for Inventory changes and updates to service ticket, impacted parties applied.
  • Respond to client queries and issues in a timely manner working closely with Service Team leads and Service Management.
  • Regular evaluation of all products in stock to ensure these are all fit for purpose and ready to use on requests, ensuring client data policy is adhered to and data is cleared from the device when entering stock.
  • Managing product due diligence with items required for return to Vendor for repair HP/Dell hub (RTB Warranty) and asset control.
  • Highlight issues and breaches to Stores immediately to Service Management.
  • Work with Bank Asset management team to investigate any discrepancies.
  • Work closing with Service Management and other Team leads to continually improve the stores service and highlight ideas and implement smart and best working practices, including updates to current process documentation and review every 6 months.
  • Weekly/Monthly Stores shift Rota planning to ensure covering of stores 8-6pm Mon-Fri.
