Logistics Administrator

Location: Southampton, office based

Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, 08:30am - 17:30pm

Salary: £28,500 per annum

Purpose of the job

The Logistics Administrator will be responsible for the day to day administration duties of the customs activity, ensuring the adequate and functional use of systems, processes and basic customs procedures. This will include data input into the Ricardo Duty Management and the Oracle ERP system.

Key Duties
  • Day to day administration of the Customs mailbox, providing accurate and timely clearance instructions to Garmin’s carriers.
  • Checking Clearance documents to ensure that they are correct, requesting and monitoring amendments as required.
  • Accurately maintain records of NL Consol and Tacx shipments via spreadsheets.
  • Assist EMEA colleagues with basic customs related requests and queries to ensure that Garmin complies with HMRC regulations.
  • Inputting customs data into the Customs Warehouse management system
  • Daily Processing of shipments leaving the customs warehouse.
  • Receive training in other job areas of the team to be able to provide leave job cover as required.
  • Assist the trade compliance team with new product customs classification by using regular reports generated.
Education & Experience
  • Administrative experience.
  • Good computer skills essential. Proficient in Excel preferred.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Being detailed oriented.
  • Must be a team player, possess a positive attitude and work well with others.
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
