Role: Live-in Carer

Location: Inverness

Pay: up to £987.20 per week

What This Role Involves

This is a deeply rewarding and diverse role that offers you the chance to have a profound impact on someone’s daily life. As a Live-in Carer, you’ll provide support in all aspects of personal care and medication management, as well as assisting with a variety of household tasks and community activities. You’ll become an integral part of your client’s life, helping them live independently while maintaining their dignity and well-being.

What you’ll do:

  • Meal Preparation & Medication Support: Ensuring your client stays nourished and on track with their medication
  • Household Management: Light housekeeping, laundry, wardrobe management, and general household upkeep
  • Personal Care: Assisting with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
  • Health Monitoring: Keeping a close eye on your client’s health and well-being, administering medication as needed
  • Grocery Shopping & Inventory Management: Managing shopping trips, either in person or online, and keeping the home well-stocked
  • Pet Care: Caring for your client’s pets, including feeding, walking, and arranging vet visits
  • Community Engagement: Encouraging and accompanying your client to religious services, social events, and family visits
  • Companionship: Providing emotional support and companionship, joining your client for social outings and events
  • Personal & Concierge Services: Booking appointments, managing travel and social engagements, and liaising with family and friends
  • Home Maintenance: Liaising with suppliers and contractors, managing household plants, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment
What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking compassionate and capable individuals who have:

  • Fluency in spoken and written English and eligibility to work in the UK
  • A full, clean UK driving licence (preferred)
  • Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
  • At least 3 months of experience caring professionally or for a loved one
  • A compassionate, supportive, and positive attitude with a strong ethical foundation
  • Immaculate presentation and a keen eye for detail
  • The ability to manage tasks efficiently and remain calm under pressure
  • Strong domestic skills, including housekeeping and nutritious meal preparation
  • A friendly, approachable demeanour with a sense of humour and the ability to build strong relationships
  • The ability to act quickly and responsibly in emergencies
