We have an exciting new opportunity with our client, a multinational consumer goods company, who is looking for a litigation lawyer with product litigation experience, 1-4 PQE+, Litigation lawyer.

Our client is a globally recognised company with a rich history in the tobacco industry. They are committed to delivering innovative products to consumers worldwide. As a multinational corporation, our client operates in various markets across the globe.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day support with general commercial matters.
  • Assisting the Senior Dispute Resolution Counsel with categorising legal disputes and managing legal disputes notified to the DR Team by Cluster/market CLA, determining whether they are managed in-market, by the DR Team, or as a joint undertaking.
  • Managing discrete aspects of material legal disputes categorized as Category 1, including developing DR strategies, communications, and coordinating negotiations or mediations.
  • Providing strategic support for Category 2 and 3 matters, developing DR strategies, and assisting with negotiations and settlement processes as needed.
  • Tracking cases notified to the DR Team, updating litigation trackers, coordinating with Cluster/market CLA for updates, and assisting in preparing litigation reports for stakeholders including the Board and external auditors.
  • Drafting materials and delivering training on topics such as legal privilege, document management, and disclosure.
  • Supporting responses to consumer complaints related to health effects or emerging trends.
  • Advising on product liability issues, supporting responses to product safety concerns, and leading corrective actions when necessary.
  • Leading e-disclosure processes, including identification, preservation, and collection of electronically stored information.
  • Reviewing and approving external documents from a litigation perspective.
  • Applying extensive experience in product litigation and litigation case management.
  • Working independently with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Providing confident legal advice across all levels of stakeholders, with strong organisational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Managing external counsel and controlling costs.
  • Handling multiple projects and stakeholders effectively in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Exhibiting excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills, with a proactive, 'roll-up sleeves' attitude.
