Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Lecturer in Health and Social Care with a strong biology/science specialism. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of our health and social care curriculum, supporting learners to achieve and progress while promoting high‑quality, inclusive education.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Delivering engaging, inclusive and high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment across Health and Social Care programmes, with an emphasis on biological and scientific content.
  • Supporting curriculum development to ensure programmes remain current, industry‑aligned and academically robust.
  • Ensuring high standards of quality assurance and contributing to continuous improvement within the curriculum area.
  • Monitoring and supporting student progress, retention, achievement and progression through effective tracking and use of college systems.
  • Supporting student recruitment through interviews, Initial Advice and Guidance (IAG), Open Days and curriculum‑specific events.
  • Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge in both subject specialism and digital/face‑to‑face pedagogies.
  • Contributing to the wider academic community through scholarship, research or professional practice.
