Lecturer in Agriculture

Location: Preston

Rate: £35 to £45 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)

Are you working on a farm and looking for an additional two or three days of paid work each week?

This is an excellent opportunity to pass on your knowledge, train the next generation, and develop teaching skills through CPD training and support.

Agricultural professionals with experience in livestock, dairy, machinery, or general farm operations are encouraged to apply. The role involves delivering hands‑on practical sessions and theory across a range of Agriculture modules, helping learners build the skills needed in modern farming.

Teaching experience is not required. Applications are welcomed from farmers, relief milkers, tractor drivers, livestock handlers, calf rearers, machinery operators, and those with wider farm duties such as lambing, estate skills, or farm administration who are skilled practically and looking to pass on their knowledge.

Training in teaching is available for those moving into education for the first time.

The Role
  • Deliver Agriculture units to learners

  • Support apprentices and full-time learners throughout their studies
  • Contract initially until Christmas, with potential to extend
