About The Role

Shape Learning to the Learner, and Empower Student Success - Join us as Learning Support Practitioner and make a difference every day

In this role, you will provide vital support to students with a high level of need, helping them succeed across a wide range of subjects and qualifications — from Entry Level 1 through to Level 3, including Functional Skills and GCSE English and Maths.

Our students may have a variety of learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You will support them not only in their programme of study and work placements, but also, where required, with welfare and personal care needs.

About You

If you are passionate about supporting students to achieve their potential, this could be the role for you. We are seeking an individual with strong communication skills, an understanding of behaviour management, and the ability to inspire students to engage in their learning. You will be calm under pressure, flexible in your approach, and committed to making a positive difference.

In This Role, You Will
  • Support students with a high level of need both in small groups and during lectures.
  • Work alongside individuals with a range of additional needs, including:
    • Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    • Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)
    • Global Development Delay
    • Language & Communication difficulties
    • Sensory or Physical needs (e.g. visual/hearing impairments)
  • Provide personal care, mobility assistance, and medical/feeding support where required.
  • Collaborate as part of a supportive team, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
