Job summary

A multi-disciplinary educational trust in the UK is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant. You will play a crucial role in supporting students with a range of learning difficulties while working part of a dedicated team. This permanent position offers a chance to positively impact young people's lives, with a salary of £24,796 for 32.5 hours per week over 39 weeks a year. LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT

St Bernard’s School, Louth – Grade G3 Point 6 (£24,796, FTE). 32.5 hours per week / 39 weeks per year.

Overview

Due to staff progression, we are looking to add to our fantastic team with an enthusiastic, motivated and creative practitioner, initially at St Bernard’s School, employed across the Trust on a permanent basis. As a multi‑disciplinary practitioner we hold high expectations and a community‑wide commitment to supporting the development of our young people with a wide range of learning difficulties, ranging from moderate to severe/profound and complex, including SEMH and ASD.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the team in meeting students at their point of need.

• Employ restorative culture practices and strategies to support students with profound and complex, sensory, social and emotional needs and Autism.

• Provide academic, emotional and social support to promote development and learning within EHCP or group contexts, as directed by the teacher.

Qualifications and Experience

• Energy for supporting positive behaviour, communication and complex needs.

• Relevant NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
