Job summary

A healthcare recruitment service is seeking a Registered Nurse in Ballymena to support young people with complex health needs and disabilities. Qualifications

Job description

To work in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team and in collaboration with the young people and their families, to provide the highest possible standard of care for the young people undertake allocated duties of care under the supervision of the Residenital Team Leader/ Deupty Team Leader.The post holder will have continuing responsibility for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of plans of care for young people in theHome who have complex health needs, severe learning and/or physical disability and behaviours that challenge.The post holder will support the team in developing and maintaining new skills and competencies via the delegation framework.Please visit jobs.hscni.net to see Job Description and Personnel Specification.

Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Home Manager, contribute to the formulation of care plans according to the specific nursing needs of the young people.
  • Undertake the role of shift co-ordinator, ensuring that the child’s care plan is carried out to agreed standards.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the live NMC register (Learning Disability).
  • Two years post registration experience working with young people and/or young adults with a learning disability.
