Job Purpose

Support the Learning and Development function in London and Bermuda by organising, promoting, and enhancing training initiatives. Help develop career plans and align learning strategies with Ascot’s values and strategic objectives, working closely with business leaders and HR. This role is a 12-month FTC for maternity cover.

Detailed Duties
Training and Development
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Respond to all training and development requests, sourcing and booking courses, assisting with general training queries and escalating where necessary.
  • Co‑ordinate the compliance training requirements within Skillcast.
  • Ensure all study agreements are in place.
  • Maintain the training log and ensure all requirements for SMCR are in place.
  • Promote Percipio, selecting appropriate training for all areas of the business.
  • Keep up to date with market learning initiatives and promote them across the business.
  • Organise knowledge-sharing sessions, lunch‑and‑learns, and quarterly inductions.
Early Careers
  • Co‑ordination of early career programmes including annual summer internship for the UK and Bermuda
  • Collaborate with internal recruiter as needed
Core Programs
  • Collaborate with our US Learning and Development Lead in developing, managing, and continuously improving global learning programs (e.g., internal mentoring scheme, management and leadership).
  • Ensure programs are accessible to all employees and tailored to different career stages.
  • Monitor participation and gather feedback for ongoing refinement.
Onboarding
  • Deliver onboarding programs for new hires after they complete their probationary period.
  • Coordinate with HR and business units to provide role‑specific training and introductions.
  • Track training progress and collect feedback to improve future onboarding experiences.
Career Path Planning
  • Support employees in identifying career goals and development opportunities.
  • Facilitate career conversations and provide resources for career progression (e.g., mentoring, job shadowing, skills assessments).
Metrics and Tracking
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through surveys, feedback sessions, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare regular reports for the HR, Compliance and Operational Risk teams on mandatory training completion rates.
  • Maintain dashboards to track training participation, completion rates, and learning outcomes.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Report key metrics to the Global Head of Talent Management and use insights to work on future learning strategies.
