Salary

£56,766+ depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing
  • Engaging with internal and external customers and technologists to lead and drive the support technology strategy
  • Capture of requirements and use cases that will drive the need for innovation and technology exploitation to drive business benefit
  • Identify funding opportunities across the business for research and developing exciting proposals for technology development programmes
  • Generation of collaborative programmes, and identification of opportunities for funding, with key external partners, suppliers, SME's
  • Interface between BAE Systems and external research organisations on support technology research
Your skills and experiences
Essential
  • Knowledge and experience of digital technology development and approaches including utilisation of Cloud infrastructure
  • Experience of technology capability insertion from concept through to deployment
  • Highly collaborative, with a willingness to embrace innovative approaches and constructively challenge the status‑quo
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable
  • Programming (e.g. Python) experience
  • Awareness of civil aircraft operations
  • Knowledge/experience of working in a DevSecOps development framework
  • Awareness of AI approaches and techniques
