Responsibilities

The Lead PQE will develop and maintain systems, rules, and processes to ensure fulfillment of internal and external requirements. Ensures that projects and products are capable and will meet specified standards (Preventive). Positions requiring thorough understanding and application of approaches, theories, methodologies and application in a concrete organizational context.

As a Lead Project Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the main quality contact for tendering and project execution phases for our MDC Projects across ENSC, SSA &MENATI
  • Verifying contractual quality and regulatory requirements are fulfilled and have maximised customer satisfaction and profitability
  • Establishing and executing the project quality plan, witness-points, quality records for compliance with contract, whilst ensuring customer quality requirements
  • Taking account of Feedback of Experience (FOE)/Lessons Learned during the tender proposal to avoid deviation and to continually improve execution processes
  • Traveling to fabrication yard locations to implement improvement initiatives and carry out audits and assessments in line with contract and Baker Hughes requirements
  • Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered, interfacing across different cultures and time-zones in order to foster collaborative ways of working
  • Being accountable for all aspects of product quality related to fabrication of subsea equipment
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Quality)
  • Have demonstrable industry experience QA Engineering
  • Have experience of subsea fabrications or welding, testing and NDT
  • Possess experience with Internal and External quality Audits
  • Be able to travel across the UK as required for projects
