Job description

The organisation's Technology and Data division plays a critical role in facilitating risk-based regulations by providing secure and reliable infrastructure, data, and applications. As a Lead Infrastructure Analyst, the successful candidate will work within a permanent, full-time position, contributing to the design, implementation, and support of infrastructure services in both on-premises and Azure cloud environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring that core systems are secure, reliable, and performant, thus enabling the regulator to operate effectively while responding to emerging risks. The role includes hands‑on engineering alongside technical leadership, problem‑solving, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Service Delivery, the Lead Infrastructure Analyst will lead and manage a team to deliver the required outcomes.

Job Duties
  • Deliver stable, secure, and highly available infrastructure to ensure business continuity and protect organisational data.
  • Lead the design and implementation of Azure solutions to establish a future‑ready cloud architecture that supports innovation and growth.
  • Plan and execute cloud migration and modernisation initiatives to mitigate legacy system risks and facilitate digital transformation.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code to enhance consistency, automation, and repeatability.
  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise infrastructure services to improve system performance and reduce incidents.
  • Collaborate closely with Cyber Security and risk teams to ensure infrastructure designs and operations meet security, compliance, audit, and data protection standards.
  • Manage and oversee third‑party suppliers to ensure accountability, cost control, and quality of service.
  • Contribute to and maintain technical documentation for continuity, knowledge sharing, and compliance audits, reducing dependency on individual team members.
  • Develop, lead, and manage a team of infrastructure analysts, providing direction, clarity, and motivation to align with organisational goals and drive high performance.
