Salary: From £30,000 per annum plus bonus Location: Cannock Monday to Thursday 08.30 to 17.00/ Friday 08.30 to 15.00

Groomfield are recruiting on behalf of a client who is looking to appoint a Lead Generation Researcher to join their Business Development function. This role sits at the very start of the sales cycle and is ideal for someone who enjoys research, data analysis, and uncovering high‑quality business opportunities. Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities using AI tools, online databases, professional networks, and research platforms.
  • Conduct in‑depth research into organisations, including size, structure, capabilities, and market positioning.
  • Clean, process, and maintain large volumes of lead and account data to ensure CRM accuracy.
  • Provide prioritised lead lists, account intelligence, and research insights to support business development activity.
  • Source and verify key contact information, including decision‑makers and direct contact details.
  • Evaluate product categories, operational needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Monitor market news and global developments to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Produce clear reports, summaries, and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining high‑quality data (desirable).
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets), including data cleaning and analysis.
  • Comfortable using AI and automation tools to support research tasks.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
