A leading mental health service provider in Greater London is seeking a Lead Clinical Exercise Therapist for their forensic inpatient service. This position involves coordinating and leading exercise interventions as part of the treatment for forensic patients. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Sports and Exercise Science and experience within an NHS or mental health setting. This role offers a salary range of £37,259 to £45,356 per annum, pro rata, plus generous benefits and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Experience of working as a gym instructor with groups and individuals.
• Experience of working within an NHS, Public Health or Mental Health setting.
• Experience of coaching/leading sports activities with clients of differing abilities.
• Experience of assessing and advising on healthy lifestyle issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and facilitation of sports and exercise interventions across the secure service.
• Assess patients' suitability for exercise, adhering to ACSM guidelines.
• Tailor patients' sports and exercise programmes to their individual needs.
• Promote and support individual choice and maximum independence.

Education
