You will be responsible for landscaping tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming hedges, and maintaining soft landscaping areas. This includes planting trees, flowers, and shrubs, clearing snow from pedestrian areas, and ensuring walkways and car parks are properly maintained. You'll conduct weekly checks on groundskeeping equipment, perform litter picks, and address issues like dog fouling and sharps. You will apply herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides when needed and occasionally carry out hard landscaping tasks. You will also participate in estate improvement works, prioritise areas, and assist with compliance checks to keep the estate safe and clean. As part of our employment checks, this role will require you to complete a satisfactory Basic DBS check. Although this role is advertised in a specific location, you will be required to work in surrounding areas.
Desirable Criteria:
You will need to have a current manual driving licence, ideally with the ability to tow, and it is ideally for you to have a PA1 and PA6 NPTC Spraying Licence and be aware of needle and sharp safety. A good working knowledge of estate management issues and strong communication skills are essential. Experience in similar services is preferred, as well as IT literacy to use smartphones/tablets and messaging/file-sharing tools. You should be able to work independently, meet deadlines, and complete tasks to quality standards. You'll work as part of a team, communicating effectively with colleagues, maintaining positive relationships with customers, and respecting both colleagues and estates.
