Job Title: Key Stage 1 Teacher
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £150-230 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract:Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role / Role Overview

As a KS1 Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the developmental needs of pupils aged 5 to 7. You will promote active learning and create a safe, inclusive classroom that fosters curiosity and confidence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the Key Stage 1 national curriculum.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate a wide range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment, setting clear expectations for behaviour and effort.
  • Assess pupils’ progress regularly and accurately, providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure each pupil receives a high-quality and consistent learning experience.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and school initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Support pupils' personal and social development in line with school values and policies.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience of teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally with experience in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Thorough understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and effective assessment strategies.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • An enthusiastic, reflective, and resilient approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
