Overview

Junior Commissioning Engineer - Electrical - Reading / Berkshire - Permanent - £40-45K + bonus + 30 days holiday + BUPA

Samuel Frank is recruiting an electrically biased Junior Commissioning Engineer to join a well-established, specialist engineering business with ongoing site work in the Reading area.

Responsibilities

• Phase 1: prepare and write all commissioning related documentation. This will take place on a hybrid basis between home, site and some trips to Head Office in Staffordshire.
• Phase 2: based on customer site in Reading where you will test and commission the electrical systems.
• On-site work may include pre-agreed overtime paid on top of a daily allowance, plus travel and accommodation costs.
• Learn and complete key stages in the commissioning stages of project delivery, working with high-calibre professionals in both office and site environments.
• Opportunity to pursue a career in commissioning; role could suit an engineer with some electrical design experience looking to move into site-based/commissioning work.
• Site work is commutable from Newbury, Reading, Basingstoke, Bracknell and surrounding areas.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree level - essential requirement (minimum).
• British passport (not holding dual nationality) due to security clearance requirements.
• UK driving licence - essential.
• 1-4 years of relevant experience in commissioning or related electrical roles.
• Willingness to undergo security clearance as part of the role.
