Job description

Role: AV IT Engineer / Integrated Network Services Engineer

Location: Sunbury-on-Thames, UK

Salary: Negotiable (depending on experience), plus large company benefits and personal development opportunities

Interview Process: 2 Stage; with one virtual and one face to face

Hours: Monday – Friday: 9am – 5.30 pm (with some flexibility available)

Currently we have a new opportunity to join the expanding Integrated Networks team at Kinly. The Integrated Network Services Engineer role plays a pivotal role across projects, service, and global support teams, providing critical network support for both our UK and international clients.

You will be involved in network design, live network troubleshooting and security assessments, utilising a wide range of network hardware and software tools to ensure the optimal performance of Kinly's AV integrations. Additionally, you will contribute to establishing industry-leading AV network standards, reinforcing Kinly's commitment to excellence in the AV sector

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation and design support on Small, Medium and Large AV Integration projects, including analysis of design, configuration of network switches and actively tracking and supporting project network queries through to deployment and handover
  • Configure and provision of network switches for medium-large AV Integration projects using Web GUI’s and command line, based on information provided by system design schematics
  • Advise, design and support complex network deployments for complex AV Designs with multi-switch and multi-protocol configurations
  • Configure and deploy a range of different model switches, routers, and Wireless Access Points/Controllers for AV integration projects of differing topologies
  • Support Provisioning, Commissioning and Service teams to resolve system snags (network and AV hardware based)
  • Provide support and diagnostic reports for off-site and on-site AV Deployments.
  • Advise internal/external teams and deploy and test server-based platforms for AV Integration projects, eg. Smart management, monitoring etc. (incl. VM and Cloud)
  • Support wider team with network security recommendations and reviews, carrying out low-level AV design security assessments on offline and client-facing deployments
  • Create and manage accurate Network schedules for large integration projects
  • Write client facing Network Deployment guides for AV Protocols, subject to internal reviews
  • Create internal and external facing High level AV/IT integration diagrams
  • Assist the INS Consultant(s) with design and AV integration on Large Scale and contractor led AV Integration projects
  • Actively self-maintain a portfolio of medium-large AV deployment projects
Essential experience/Qualifications
  • Good understanding of key networking protocols, notably Multicast management (IGMP, PIM) and Quality-of-Service models
  • Understanding of common AVoIP/IT Protocols, eg. Dante, RTSP, PTP
  • CCNA (Or Equivalent) certified
  • Command line network configuration
  • Proven Network Configuration, Troubleshooting and Fault-Finding experience
  • A passion for developing and improving network processes
  • Willingness to bring new ideas to the team
  • Ability to tackle challenging troubleshooting situations with a logical view
Desirable Qualifications/Experience
  • Q-SYS Level 2
  • Dante Level 3
  • Active interest and understanding of network device security
  • Understanding of smart management solutions
