Job summary

A leading training provider in the West Midlands is seeking a QA apprentice. This role offers on-the-job experience while you learn, with the opportunity to progress from a Level 3 apprenticeship to higher qualifications debt-free. Responsibilities include managing customer calls, recording requests, and assisting with daily operations. Ideal candidates will show interpersonal skills, commitment, and a proactive attitude. A strong foundation in GCSEs is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage calls and liaise with customers and suppliers.
  • Record requests in the internal tracking system.
  • Handle incidents reported by users.
  • Follow up on incident solving and update documentation.
  • Inform users through alerts and communication.
  • Remote installation of computer and network hardware/software.
  • Assist with day-to-day running of the department.
  • Set up broadband equipment and diagnose faults.
  • Set up computer hardware to customer requirements.
  • Perform daily/weekly checks.

You will be responsible
  • Managing calls and liaising with customers and suppliers
  • Recording requests in the internal tracking system
  • Handling incidents reported by users and when needed addressing them or escalating within the department
  • Following up incident solving and updating documentation
  • Informing users through alerts and communication
  • Remote installation of computer and network hardware and software
  • Assisting with day to day running of the department
  • Setting up broadband equipment and broadband fault diagnosis
  • Setting up computer hardware to customers’ requirements
  • Daily/weekly checks

Entry requirements

The entry requirements for this Azure Cloud Support Specialist programme are as follows:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)

Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject. You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm
