This role is part of the Investment Team, which designs and delivers investments that enable fair, sustainable economic opportunities across the Liverpool City Region. We take a strategic, ecosystem-based approach, work collaboratively, and are guided by clear investment principles. We triage opportunities, shape interventions, and align our work with the region’s Investment Strategy. We are looking for a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join LCRCA’s Investment and Delivery Directorate. We seek candidates with project development experience to deliver against current and future pipeline. The types of projects you are likely to work on include:
You will support the wider team and project sponsors to leverage sector funding to bring more investment into the region. You will also engage in a holistic approach to project development, using capital and revenue creatively to maximise impact.

Note: This is not a finance or accountancy role; it is about using data and insight to support the appraisal and development of major projects that deliver real-world outcomes. A key focus is assessing proposals against strategic frameworks, including the HM Treasury Green Book methodology, ensuring they are robust, evidence-based, and aligned with regional priorities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging with a wide range of public and private sector stakeholders, working with large, complex datasets to support decision-making, and conducting market and sector analysis to inform funding decisions across a diverse project portfolio.
