Are you a confident and inspiring primary teacher looking for a part-time role in a lovely primary school in Wandsworth? If so, this is an opportunity that will definitely be of interest.

A lovely catholic primary school in Roehampton are looking for an Intervention Teacher 2/3 days a week to start ASAP.

The Role

In this role you will be responsible for planning and leading a range of interventions and nurture groups for pupils in Year 1. You will lead interventions in Maths and English with small groups of children who require additional support in key areas, as well as those who are Gifted and Talented in order to ensure all students are supported to achieve their potential. You will have the advantage of working with two full time experienced and supportive teachers within the Y1 cohort, to plan and prepare appropriate sessions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced primary teacher who would like a change from class teaching.

To apply for this role you must hold QTS and have experience teaching within KS1. The contract is part-time, 2-3 days per week to start ASAP for the rest of the academic year.

This very popular catholic primary school is based in Wandsworth close to Roehampton. The school is rated ‘good’ by Ofsted and is a popular choice for parents. Children in the school make good progress whilst at the school and results at both KS1 and KS2 are consistently above average. Pupil’s behaviour is excellent across the school and the leadership team ensure that staff, pupils and parents work closely together to enable pupils to make progress academically and socially. Prayer and worship are central to the life of the school and within the Catholic Christian ethos children are able to develop their spiritual and moral understanding.

The school are looking for a primary teacher with:
  • QTS and at least 1 year’s teaching experience in a primary school (ECT 1)
  • a creative approach with the ability to provide fun and stimulating lessons.
  • excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate
  • a commitment to each child making progress academically, socially and spiritually
  • a open and sympathetic approach to working within a catholic primary school

This Primary Teacher role is offered on a part-time contract basis from end January to July 2026.
