Job Category Operations Target Openings 1 What Is the Opportunity? We are looking for an Insurance Operations Associate to join our team based in Redhill on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.1. Underwriting Lifecycle Management:
Thoroughly review all in-scope submissions and processes these in line with agreed service levels.
Execute tasks related to the underwriting lifecycle, including new business and renewal quote preparation, submissions analysis, policy debiting and issuance, slip recording, endorsements, lapses adjustments, null declarations, and notice of cancellations.
Manage account documentation, including quotations, actuarial pricing models, reinsurance contracts, endorsements, and cancellations.
2. Data Records and Document Management:
Ensure underwriting information submitted electronically is stored and updated, within service levels.
Process underwriting premium corrections efficiently and liaise with underwriters and brokers, as required.
Perform data cleansing and input additional risk information, ensuring accuracy in data quality.
Complete exception reporting and exceptions clearance to maintain accurate records in our underwriting systems of record.
Provide the Claim department with account coverage information as requested.
3. Standard Operating Procedures and Training:
Create and maintain standard operating procedures in the agreed format.
Deliver training and support to onshore and offshore colleagues and business partners.
4. Regulatory Compliance and Miscellaneous:
Meet all regulatory requirements (e.g., treating customers fairly) and align with Travelers Europe values and capabilities.
Ensure compliance with sales, marketing, underwriting, and regulatory guidelines.
Perform other assigned duties, as required.
What is a Must Have?
Previous experience in the insurance industry; studying towards professional insurance qualifications.
General knowledge of commercial insurance products and policies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to develop effective working relationships across the organization.
Customer-centric approach.
Process improvement mindset and adaptability to change.
Computer proficiency and familiarity with various applications.
Highly motivated, capable of independent work, and very comfortable in a team environment.
Detail-focused with a high degree of accuracy in work.
