A government agency is seeking an Innovation Facilitator to enhance its regulatory frameworks for veterinary medicines. This role involves ensuring that guidance is accessible to innovators and supporting the agency's scientific strategy. Candidates should have a degree in veterinary medicine or a related field, along with experience in pharmaceutical development and AI applications in healthcare.
The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK.
We have a vacancy for an Innovation Facilitator.
This exciting new role will aid VMD to transition to a more proactive approach to innovation, ensuring that our regulatory frameworks and guidance evolve to enable new technologies, and that this guidance is accessible to innovators.
The role will support delivery of the VMD Science Strategy and help ensure that our scientists have the knowledge and skills to deal with current and future challenges and innovations. It will facilitate knowledge exchange with the wider scientific and research communities, other regulatory bodies (national and international) and government departments, and the wider animal health sector.
Candidates must have a degree in veterinary medicine or other life science discipline.
