An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our friendly management team. If you are looking for a part-time role in a friendly rural location, we may have the ideal position for you. The position is for 30 hours per week, days and times to be confirmed at interview.

Main duties of the job

The InformationGovernance & Safeguarding Lead / Administration Manager plays a key role inensuring the practice meets statutory requirements relating to data protection,confidentiality, safeguarding, and compliance. The postholder will oversee informationgovernance processes, act as a safeguarding point of contact, and manage theadministrative team to ensure efficient, high-quality patient services. Therole supports operational delivery, compliance, continuous improvement, and aculture of quality and accountability across the practice

Summary of Responsibilities below:-

InformationGovernance & Data Protection

Ensurecompliance with UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, NHS Digital standards, andCaldicott principles.

Act as DataProtection point of contact and support the Caldicott Guardian and DPO.

Overseepolicies relating to data handling, confidentiality agreements, retentionschedules, and access to records.

Support the PracticeManager and SARS lead with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), FOI requests,and information-sharing agreements.

Lead audits,risk assessments, incident investigations, and reporting of data breaches viathe Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT).

Coordinatestaff IG training, competency checks, and mandatory updates

Safeguarding

Act as an AdministrativeSafeguarding Lead (Adults & Children), working with the ClinicalSafeguarding Lead where applicable.

Ensurecompliance with statutory guidance including Working Together to SafeguardChildren and Care Act 2014.

Maintainsafeguarding registers, referrals, meeting notes, coding, and alerts.

Liaise withexternal agencies (social services, police, health visitors, MARAC, MASH).

Deliver orcoordinate safeguarding training and maintain staff competency and records.

Supportpractice-level audits, reporting and learning from serious incidents

Governance,Compliance & Quality Improvement

Support thePractice Manager with CQC compliance (particularly domains: Well-Led, Safe,Responsive).

Ensure that our CQC-regulated services can meet or exceedcurrent legislative and regulatory requirements by ensuring that documentedcompliance management can be evidenced across the practice.

Assisting with the practice audit program, carrying outaudits to measure service compliance against a range of agreed indicators.

Maintainevidence for inspections including policy reviews, meeting minutes, audittrails, and mandatory training logs.

Supportincident reporting and learning processes.

Contribute topractice-wide quality improvement initiatives and PCN collaboration.

AdministrationManagement

Line-manageadmin staff, including rotas, appraisals, performance management, induction,and training.

Overseeday-to-day workflow including clinical correspondence, summarising, coding,scanning and recall processes.

Monitorworkload demand proposing improvements to systems and resources;

Leadrecruitment, onboarding and HR administrative processes as required.

Promote apositive team culture focused on patient experience, safety, andaccountability.

Person Specification
Qualifications
