Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services

Location: York (with hybrid working)

Salary: £35,000 - £55,000

About the Company

My client is a rapidly expanding building services consultancy that has seen significant growth over the past 12 months. The York office has grown from two to five people, and new offices have recently been opened in Hull and King's Lynn.

I work directly with their York design team, and they are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join them. Everyone I\'ve placed with this business highlights the strong culture, collaborative working environment, and excellent work-life balance.

Role Overview

This is a hybrid position, based out of the York office, with the flexibility to work from home up to three days a week following probation.

Mondays and Tuesdays are office-based, with flexibility on the rest of the week.

The role involves delivering mechanical design solutions across a range of building services projects, using Hevacomp and IES software to produce accurate and efficient designs. You\'ll be working closely with colleagues across disciplines and contributing to the continued growth and success of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce mechanical design solutions for building services projects
• Deliver designs using Hevacomp and IES software
• Liaise with colleagues across disciplines to ensure successful project delivery
• Attend design meetings and provide technical input
• Manage workload to deliver projects on time and to a high standard

Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical building services design
• Proficiency in Hevacomp and IES software
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver quality work
• Previous consultancy experience is highly desirable
