Job summary

A global engineering firm in Plymouth is seeking an HSES Manager to oversee Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability activities. This role offers a blend of hands-on leadership and strategic influence within the plant. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in EHS, a NEBOSH certificate, and strong knowledge of H&S regulations. The role offers a salary of £55,000-£60,000, a 10% bonus, and benefits including 28 days of annual leave, pension contributions, and employee share programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental management.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance monitoring and sustainability practices.
  • Ability to engage and influence across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Health & Safety management across the manufacturing site.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE, environmental, energy standards.
  • Develop and implement health and safety improvement programs.

Skills

NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
8+ years' experience leading EHS
Strong knowledge of H&S regulations
Experience leading audits
Experience driving sustainability initiatives
Strong communication skills
Good IT literacy (MS Office)

Education

Degree-level qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, H&S
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
