Job summary

A mainstream secondary school in Croydon seeks a HR Officer for a temporary full-time role. The successful candidate will assist with recruiting staff and support the HR manager with various tasks related to people and change management. Key responsibilities include managing the recruitment inbox, supporting recruitment campaigns, and being the first point of contact for HR advice. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment inbox and respond to queries from agencies and candidates.
  • Support recruitment campaigns by updating job descriptions and placing advertisements.

  • Liaise with HR Administrators to resolve staff queries.
  • Support schools with meetings regarding return to work and sickness reviews.
  • Assist Business Partners and HR Head with project research.

Temp day rate of £140 - £160

A Mainstream Secondary School in Croydon are looking for a HR Officer for a temporary, full-time position. The successful candidate will assist with the internal recruitment of staff and will also work alongside the HR manager in providing support across all aspects of people and change management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment - managing the recruitment inbox, responding to queries from agencies and candidates where possible and passing on applications to hiring managers.
  • Supporting Head Office recruitment campaigns - writing / updating JDs and adverts, placing advertisements, initial shortlisting, inviting candidates to interview etc.
  • Note taking at meetings
  • First point of contact for HR advice from Head Office managers and employees, and liaising with school-based HR Administrators to resolve queries.
  • Supporting schools with return to work and sickness review meetings.
  • Support the Business Partners and Head of HR in project work requiring research and data collection.
Person specification
  • HR Officer or HR Advisor experience
  • Highly organised, professional, approachable and flexible
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
