Overview

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in North Somerset, who are recruiting for a permanent HR Advisor. The position is due to start as soon as possible (subject to notice). The role is part time 26 hours per week, £24,760 per annum (£35,236 per annum FTE) and offers flexible hybrid working and working hours.

Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end absence cases, including short- and long-term sickness, ensuring compliance with policy and supporting return-to-work processes
  • Handle a varied ER caseload, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and conduct issues in line with employment law and company policy
  • Advise and coach line managers on ER matters to build their confidence and capability in handling people issues effectively
  • Prepare documentation for hearings and formal meetings, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to procedural requirements
  • Support HR data reporting, identifying trends in absence and ER cases to inform proactive interventions
  • Promote early intervention and resolution, encouraging informal resolution of issues where appropriate to minimise risk and maintain positive employee relations
