Overview

HR Advisor — Location: Near Windsor (Datchet). Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum DOE. Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week (time can be a little flexible).

Based at our clients, beautiful Head Office in Datchet, they are looking for an enthusiastic HR Advisor to complement their existing team.

Responsibilities and Duties of the HR Advisor

As part of the ER Team, you\'ll manage a wide range of employee relations cases, from absence and disciplinaries to grievances and flexible working requests. You\'ll ensure fair, consistent outcomes in line with employment law, while coaching managers to reflect our clients values.

This role is central to promoting a positive people culture, supporting operational teams, and helping deliver a best-in-class HR service across the business.

  • Leading and managing a diverse ER caseload of varying complexity, risk, and volume.
  • Managing cases including disputes, disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, redundancies, retirements, and litigation claims.
  • Providing timely, practical advice to managers, collaborating with legal partners as required.
  • Coaching and mentoring line managers on effective approaches to ER issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law, GDPR, policies, and procedures.
  • Gathering case evidence, reviewing notes, drafting correspondence, and supporting managers during meetings and hearings.
  • Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Tracking and reporting on ER cases, producing regular updates and analysing trends.
  • Supporting wider HR initiatives and leadership development.
  • Assisting with TUPE transfers, trade union engagement, and ad hoc HR projects.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of policies and processes.

The ER Advisors report directly to the HR Manager for guidance and support. You\'ll also work with bespoke in-house systems alongside Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Who we are seeking as HR Advisor
  • Proven ER/HR experience in a fast-paced, high case-volume environment.
  • Confident handling complex ER cases including disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, and tribunals.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and GDPR.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Desirable: Experience in Facilities Management, Cleaning, or Security, exposure to Trade Unions, or CIPD Level 5.
